Social Media Tip Tuesday, November 16, 2010

(Going to #Oprah Show today! Thank goodness for mobile apps for blogging!)

In case you missed it, here are the social media tips (#SMTIP)  I posted via Twitter in the past week:

  1. 35% of U.S. adults have cell phones with apps, but only 24% of adults actually use them. Do you have an app for your biz? #SMTIP
  2. #Writer TIp: Don’t just tell us you wrote a new blog post– tell us why you wrote it. #SMTIP#socialmedia
  3. 57% of adult internet users say they have used a search engine to look up their name – have you? #SMTIP#careeradvice
  4. 10% of online Hispanics use geosocial services – significantly more than online whites (3%) or online blacks (5%). #SMTIP
  5. Twitter Tip: Don’t tell us where you are going– tell me what moves/motivates you. #SMTIP#socialmedia
  6. 6% of online men use a location-based service such as Foursquare or Gowalla, compared with 3% of online women.#SMTIP
