My Favorite iPhone Apps for Social Entrepreneurs

I love my iPhone and like many other folks, I can’t wait for Verizon to come on board. But the reason I love my iPhone from AT&T is not because it has the least number of dropped calls (because it doesn’t – that’s a big fat lie from AT&T), but because of some of my favorite apps!

I love @HootSuite for social media and of course I have that on my phone. It’s awesome. One thing I’d like to see added in 2011 is the ability to add Facebook Fan pages via the phone app. But I’m happy with it nonetheless because it saves me a ton of time. I also like @Tap11, they were slow out of the gate on this but their app is quite nice.

My second favorite app is @Wordpress. The new version allows you to do so much more than before. Now I can blog on the go, easily add photos and video. It’s awesome.

GroupMe is another favorite. It allows me to group my friends, clients, family members, clubs, and volunteers into different groups and ping them all at once with a text message. We can have a full fledged conversation via SMS with everyone.

Cinch is another app I recently discovered for podcasts. You can link to your Facebook or Twitter accounts and post automatically and on the go from your iPhone. I’m using it for my nonprofit right now.

As for apps for fun, well anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge Scrabble nerd. I love Apple’s Words With Friends app and of course I play the official Scrabble app. I’m also a huge foodie and I love the Zagat To Go app.

I’m curious, what are some of your favorite apps for social or for fun?
