How to Protect Photos of You Online

Ever do a search on Google for something, pull up the images associated with your results and are shocked by what you see? Remember the story of the girl whose mom died and a few months later she saw an ad for a colon cleanser on Facebook with her mother’s photo. Many of those photos are from Facebook. How do you protect what photos of you go public is up to you. There are two privacy settings you should be aware of and of course you can always untag yourself from any photo.

Under privacy settings, Sharing on Facebook, click customize. Under Things I Share, click on Edit Privacy Settings for existing photos and videos.

Under Privacy Settings, Sharing on Facebook, click customize, under Things Others Share, edit the settings for Photos and Videos your are tagged in:
