Circle Hack: A New Way to Separate Work from Play

Many times people who engaged in social media when it first came out didn’t know to separate their “friends” into categories or lists. Just as you organize your Rolodex or put notes in your phone for differentiate people, you can do the same in social media. Often people set up Facebook for one reason or another and before they know it, all of their worlds have collided both personally and professionally.

The number one thing I always recommend on Facebook is to put your friends in Lists because it allows you to separate work stuff from fun or personal stuff. However, if you have 500 friends, well, that can be cumbersome. Circle Hack came out with an easy way for you to click and drag your friends into your social circles. You can even create a new social circle on the fly while you are in there. You can also add people to multiple social circles or lists.  You can hover over a social circle and see who is in that circle. Here’s a glimpse.

Circle Hack              It’s so easy and only takes a few minutes. Start out simple and pick a few categories for lists or social circles to be: friends, family, co-workers (or name of company), clients. You can always add more.

Do you have your friends categorized on Faceboook?
