A few weeks ago LinkedIn rolled out the ability to post status updates to Company pages which was a huge win for the social network among marketers. Today they rolled out the ability to see follower statistics. You could always see page statistics of your Company page on LinkedIn but now you have even more insight into who those people are that are following your Company Page. Why is this important? Because now you know your audience and now you can tailor your messages accordingly.
How do you access it?
Easy. As an Admin, go to your Company page and over on the right where the Follow button is you’ll see a “See more” link. Click the link and you’ll get the same follower demographics as you get with Groups plus a dashboard that gives you: total impressions, total of status update views, clicks, likes, shares, follower demographics by industry, seniority, function, region, company size, and employee/contractor, plus monthly trends on follower growth.
And, they’ve also recently added a Follow LinkedIn button for company pages. So for example, if you wanted to follow Social Strand Media on LinkedIn, you’d just have to click the button to the right->.
