HootSuite Rolls Out Google Plus Pages For Everyone

We are a hooting over here at Social Strand Media today.  HootSuite finally rolled out Google Plus Pages today for all account types (free, Pro, and Enterprise). It was the number one requested feature and they have finally delivered and we couldn’t be happier! We’re super excited! And now you can expect more exclusive content now on our Google Plus Page.

A few things to keep in mind if you install Google Plus Pages on your HootSuite dashboard:

  1. You can schedule posts to your community by circles.
  2. The new integration does not include Google Plus personal profiles. Not yet anyway. But stay tuned.
  3. When you upload a link or an image, wait for it to render before you hit schedule. (It works just like Facebook Pages work). It will first generate a preview. If you don’t see that, it won’t post correctly.
  4. You can add as many Google Plus Pages as your account will allow (free allows up to 5 profiles/pages, Pro allows unlimited).
To add Google+ Pages to your HootSuite account: Login to your Profile and from the side menu click your name, then select + Add a Social Network under My Social Networks

If you don’t use HootSuite already and are thinking about it, check out the side by side comparison of social media desktop managers we did last October comparing HootSuite to Sprout Social, Social Oomph, TweetDeck and others and see why it ranks #1 among social media marketers.

If you are interested in HootSuite Pro (affiliate link) or HootSuite University to learn more about HootSuite and Google Plus Pages, I highly recommend it!

  1. Good on you hootsuite, you rock. You make it soooo much better than the rest do. Go hootsuite… :P

  2. For the life of me I can’t get my Hootsuite account linked to Google+. Interested to hear from anyone who has had success.

Just keeps telling me to sign in – which I have – or telling me that I don’t have any Google + pages yet – which I do.

    Any assistance gratefully received.

    Thanks

Hi Tim, Log into G+ on a separate tab in your browser. Then hit the connect w G+ button a second time, it will override the error. Then it will ask for permission for HootSuite to access. Hope that helps.
