All bloggers want their blog posts to get tweeted by as many people as possible. Getting promoted is the bread and butter of a blogger.  There are some key twitter tactics that work when promoting your blog. Here they are:

  1. Add Twitter sharing buttons on your blog. This is a no-brainer. You can add plugins for your blog on blogger, Tumblr, or WordPress.

WordPress -so many to choose from, here’s a good list.
  2. Add code that allows users to tweet specific text. allows you to put any text into a 140 character tweet and customize the link. (Example: Tweet this!)
  3. Provide exclusive content for a tweet. Twitterlocker allows you to hide exclusive content until the blog is tweeted. More information on this can be found here.
  4. Provide a specific hashtag for your content. If you want your blog to be promoted on Twitter then tell people what hashtag to use when tweeting. The hashtag will allow others to easily find your content and you to easily track it. #twittertips
