7 Ways To Promote Your Brand Using LinkedIn

As the first social network, LinkedIn has been slow but steady in the race. They are constantly expanding ways to help individuals and businesses get the best experience without over complicating things. Personally, I think LinkedIn is an untapped goldmine for businesses. Here are seven ways to promote your brand through LinkedIn.

  1. Have a company page. This is a no-brainer. It’s easy and free to set up. Plus, it’s like a free billboard for your company. On top of creating a free Company profile,  because you get to message your audience as often as you like with status updates, just as you would on Facebook, you can target the audience on LinkedIn with material that would be relevant for them.   2. Add video. LinkedIn company pages allows you to add video to your Company profile. Nothing says it better than saying it with a compelling high-quality video. Have a YouTube channel already? Link your best video to your LinkedIn Company page.
  3. Incorporate your company in LinkedIn — even if it is just you. Once you set up your company page on LinkedIn, be sure to link it back to your personal profile. If you have others working or volunteering for you, or even sitting on your board, ask them to add your company to their profile. A link back is valuable, but a link back by someone other than you is a golden endorsement.
  4. Create targeted segments. LinkedIn company pages allow you to create up to 10 different segments so that you can target different people who land on your company page on LinkedIn. If you want to just target CEOs, then you can have a separate message for them. If you want to target decision makers or people in a specific demographic, you can set up them as a segment. Each segment can be set up to receive a different experience when they land on your company page on LinkedIn – from photos, to text. You decide.
  5. Acquire recommendations about your products/services. LinkedIn Company pages allow you to list your products/services with images and a place for people to leave a recommendation for them. Word-of-mouth is great, but when it’s publicized for all to see, it’s even better!
  6. Add a LinkedIn company button to your website. LinkedIn makes it easy for you to let people follow your brand on LinkedIn without them ever leaving your website. All you need to do is add the LinkedIn button.
