How to Take Your Brand from the Bench to the Playing Field

As I stated a while back, the tutorials are no longer available and we are making slight changes to the website. That’s because… I’m super excited to announce that my new book, Taking Your Brand from the Bench to the Playing Field — Social Media Fundamentals for Business is now available on Amazon! It will be available in eBook in June and in Europe in July.

But here’s why I’m really excited. In addition to consulting for companies both large and small, I’ve also been teaching social media and branding courses for the past four years at: U.C. Berkeley, San Francisco State University, AcademyX Computer Training School, and Hult International Business School.  Now, I’ve put all of those lesson plans into book form for everyone to benefit. It really is like a social media classroom in a book, complete with step-by-step instructions and chapter exercises to help you build the brand you want. Take a sneak peek below.

In this 176 page, full-color book I teach you how to fish and you’ll learn how to:

  • Create your own social media strategy, social media policy, establish your tone and voice, and find your audience
  • Implement best practices for Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, blogging and more
  • Pick the right tools and metrics to measure your ROI of your efforts
  • Manage your social media in less than 10 minutes a day
  • and more, plus it’s cheaper than taking a course or scheduling time with me or any other consultant

The book is geared toward people who are either on social media and not seeing a return, or who are new to social media. It’s great for small-mid sized businesses, local businesses, entrepreneurs, authors, and independent consultants/agents.

What people have to say:

“This book is clear, practical, and fun. [It] helped me understand what was important from a strategy perspective and provided practical information so I could apply it as I progressed. This book is a must read for anyone who wants social media to help their brand and business.”
Shelley Sweet, Author, and Founder of i4Process

“After reading this book I finally understand the business benefits of Facebook and Twitter. I walked away confident that I could navigate various social media platforms now that I understood the importance of a tailored strategy. My business will now have a voice in the conversation because I now know the language.”
Chip Finney, Entrepreneur, and Small Business Owner, Diga Brazil
