This Week in Social Media

Well, a lot has happened in social media this week.  From targeted TV ads via synchronized tweets to LinkedIn retiring an oldie but goody. Here’s a recap so far in case you missed anything.

1. MarketingLand takes note on how many brands jumped on the #RoyalBaby bandwagon to welcome the newborn.

2. LinkedIn announces they are retiring LinkedIn Signal

3. Facebook is testing new mobile game ads inside your notifications tab. (Sounds awful for those who use Facebook for personal reasons, so hopefully it won’t happen.)

4. Twitter opens up TV ad-targeting to all U.S. advertisers that run a national television spot and who want to reach live viewers with synchronized in-tweet promotions. See how it works by watching the video below.

5.  LinkedIn rolls out Sponsored Story ads for Company Pages.  Get a sneak peak at tomorrow’s blog on it.
